Mike Tyson, one of the most successful boxers from 1985 to 2005, made a bold claim at the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on 27th of July. The show is one of the more famous celebrity talk shows where actor and comedian Jimmy Fallon , interviews a variety of celebrities including actors, singers and most recently, a very famous boxer!
It was mainly about Tyson’s return to the boxing industry after 15 years with his upcoming fight with Roy Jones Jr this September 13th. This comeback fight will be his very first after a very long period of time.
Testing Tyson’s confidence, Fallon asked a series of ‘Who would win ‘ match ups from Tyson. He matched Tyson up with not just newbies and rookies but some of the legendary fighters with proven track records!
Tyson refused to believe he would be beaten by any of them, including Rocky Balboa and Ivan Drago. He said that Drago is too slow for him and he could kick Balboa’s butt. Then interestingly enough, Fallon matched the Irish Boxer, Mcgregor as Tyson’s opponent. The pair had a feud going on from 2017 after Tyson criticized McGregor over his upcoming fight with Mayweather, and they ended the feud with smoking weed together this 2018.
Tyson still maintained his confidence saying that he would still win by saying ‘I’m gonna kick his ass anyway’. After Fallon said that McGregor doesn’t play by the rules, the 52 year old still said he would win if they played by boxing rules.
The former heavyweight champion then joked that he might only be beaten by the Karate Kid.
Though Tyson’s confidence is admirable, the only viable match that could go ahead was Tyson Vs MgGregor. But the age difference and the pair’s cooled off relationship doesn’t give Tyson high odds in winning it!
