Apple Plans On Being Carbon Neutral!

Climate change is a topic hotly discussed all around the world. From Greta Thunberg to Norway’s government, all major powers have taken actions against climate change with the motto ” There is only one planet”. So, how do the big corporate companies fit in to this?  Apple becomes a front runner for all of its contemporaries in planning to go carbon neutral by 2030.

Apple is not just joking around. The Multinational plans to convert all of its processes, from production to consumption, eco friendly.

Any products purchased in 2030 will be totally eco-friendly and will not influence climatic change in any manner, including consumption. According to Tim cook , the company hopes to be a front-runner, or in his words “ripple in the pond that creates a much larger change”. The company seems to have benefited greatly in going green as he also said the products are more energy efficient than before due to the actions taken in going green.

Apple’s showrooms data centers are already using and are powered entirely by renewable sources. But, in this step to make the entire business carbon neutral, Apple will contribute greatly to the environment and stop climate change. Apple’s  2020 Environmental Progress Report  plans to cut 75% of emissions and will deal with the rest using innovative solutions similar to Apple’s robot named Dave, which aids in steel and material recovery to be recycled.

Apple has a huge journey ahead of it as it must convert all its manufacturing suppliers to use renewable energy, but Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, is optimistic . She says that Apple is proud of the goals that has been set and will use this opportunity to build a “greener and a more just economy” while striving to give the next generation “a planet worth calling home.”
