With the lockdown currently still in force in many countries due to COVID-19, crocheting seems to be the number one hot topic these days, as this is what people are known to be doing in their free time at their homes. But one particular Italian crochet artist has caught people’s attention for the mesmerizing designs she has created recently.
Meet Linda Di Martino, a 59-year-old housewife that lives in Abruzzo, Italy. She is the artist behind “Le Creazioni Di Lindadi” (Lindadi Creations). What caught people’s attention was the recent creation which was a colorful aquarium handmade entirely out of yarn.

The concept of crochet aquariums had approached her in the midst of projects with other enthusiastic crochet artists.

With having an empty fish tank in her home she thought to put the opportunity to use. Piece by piece she designed and showed her progress every day in creating the wonderful crochet aquarium on social media.

As Linda mentioned, she would scroll through the internet to find patterns of sea animals and plants, but when she could not find any, she would create them herself. Talk about extreme talent.

When the final piece for the aquarium had been designed, she had posted up some photos of the masterpiece but then people starting asking if the aquarium is for sale. Linda replied apologizing that it is not, but she encouraged them to create their own with their own little twist to it.
For help, Linda had tagged the required materials and posted some videos of how to create similar designs. Enjoy!
